Audra & Jack: Rainy Day Boston Seaport Elopement on FILM

Audra and Jack reached out to me after being reccomended by a fellow talented creative when they asked her about documenting their intimate elopement in Boston. I am SO LUCKY to have had the opportunity to witness their union on a windy, wet & rainy day by the Charles River.
Everything was unplanned and perfect. They ran late becasue of the toddler (obviously) and we had TWO other weddings come to take formals by the water along with a surpirise proposal that happened just after they said their vows.

The ceremony was short and sweet, more like a practice round for their big SHEBANG in ARUBA they had planned. How special is it that they had their offical wedding with just their close family?
Each person said something about Audra & Jack and thier relationship. Also, I think we took a break mid “ceremony” because the rings ended up being in the car. Honestly it was so special and spontaneous.

Ceremony spot on the toy Holga above.

Audra’s sister made the bouqet & boutinairre from Trader Joe’s flowers and the stoller was the perfect place to keep them.

THE RINGS!

Honestly the nephew made my day.

He was not looking at me ever and honestly, I love it.

Obsessed with Jack's suit.

Family photos were SO CHILL and fun because we had NO TIME CONSTRAINTS!

I used Portra 400 for all the color images. It’s me go-to. I really love the colors. I espeically had fun playing with motion and slower shutter speeds. Normally I’d take a million of these on digital but with film you only get a couple chances to get it right.

These two were such troopers. They played outside in the rain for me without a care in the world. The point and shoot ahrd flash really shows the RAIN!

B&W scan from the Holga that I LOVE. Such a nostalgic quality!

This accidental double exposure with my toy Holga is a particular favorite.

These black & white overscans are some of my faovrite from the day. I had 6 or so frames left from a wedding the weekend before and they turned out to be some of my favorite shots.

Clear umbrellas for the win!!!

These last frames are some of my favorite. I decided to stay and wait while Audra’s brother in law brough the car around and ended up gerring these very fun images of everyone waiting under the overhang!
I am not a worsmith but it was so freeing to be shooting only film on this day. I am so happy with the results, as are A&J! These moody elopement photos are the perfect contrast to their colorful bright tropical celebration in Aruba.
Congrats again you two adorable human beings and thanks for trusting me to capture it on film!!
